One Day At A Time

I created one altered book or art journal every month from April 2007 to April 2008 journaling each day, every day - One Day At A Time. Hence the name of this blog. Some day, someone - hopefully - will enjoy reading and leafing through these books ... long after I am gone.
(Note: Most photographs are by the author, femminismo, unless stated otherwise - but sometimes she forgets to mention the great Life magazine archive she borrows from.)

Spring is a little late this year.

Heated blue blocks were stepped on by shoes with lovely soles in Judy Wise's Artful Journal class.

Water soluble crayons were fun to work with and then spray with water to watch them "bloom."

Well, what is it?

Frustration of desires can drive a woman to chocolate.

Cheery Orange Goodness.

Can you smell the love? Orange non-food tastes like heaven. Don't tell me you don't think so. I'll know you're lying!

If you could look closely enough into the mirror hanging on the door you'd see me with a camera. (And I don't think it's the house that's leaning. Must be me.)

With the end of the wooden spoon - again - I have pine branches.

Hands do the trick.

What could be simpler than patty cake with the paste?

Decorate ... however you want.

Here the color was so nice and cheerful, I stamped it with suns and wrote with the end of a wooden spoon "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine."

First dip the paper in water, squeegee off extra water and then brush on paste "paint."

These magnificent roses bloom in the best way: a few open fully, while several buds lag behind for later sniffing pleasure.

Rain is coming from the west and this dappled sky foretells the change.

The creek is gathering its share of falling leaves. The woods are dry and dangerous. Let's hope for some rain tomorow.

Wonderful masa, a green olive, chicken in yummy sauce with a prune for dessert - all in one banana leaf wrapped-tamal - which is almost gone.
