Local boy who made good. Don't tell me it can't be done now that I've read and viewed all of the adventures this guy, Nicholas Kristof, has experienced.
He is living the life I sometimes dreamed of, growing up a small-town girl in Oregon.
He has accomplished so much and I have his book, "Half the Sky," on my bedside table and it's waiting to be read. (It was co-written with his wife.)
I guess I will have to get into the book soon so then I can watch the documentary!
Cheers (and safety) to Nicholas - femminismo

Awww, I just looked at the video of your Aunt and Uncle. So very sweet. Looked up Nicholas. Some people make life count.
The truth...the simple beauty...the touch ....it is all here. What a blessing they are to all around them. Thank you for sharing. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
What an inspiring post. And I will check out that book. These stories are always better than what is so often presented as "important" in our society.
Twitter? You are way ahead of me, Pal. I just caught up with you and as always, know I have to get up and get DOWN!

Proof, if it were needed, that life can be uplifting some times.
